New in Washingtonian: XM
I've now got my second major article in Washingtonian, out in the September issue. This one looks at the DC-based satellite radio pioneer XM radio.
Even more surprising, though, is that I'm about to start full-time at the magazine. Last week, Jack Limpert, the editor, called me in for a chat and—out of the blue—offered me a job editing the front section of the magazine, Capital Comment. It's a huge and very exciting job—probably the best journalism job in Washington, since it's a gem that allows to me to cover just about anything of interest in the city—from restaurants to politics to local gossip to sports to entertainment.
Anyway, look for the October issue; it'll be my first one tackling Capital Comment.
Here's a PDF of the XM article, "Where BB King Gets the Blues."
